Common Gallinule

There is a bridge across the narrows in Creekfield Lake in the Brazos Bend State Park. On one side the lake is clear and deep. On the other, the lake is filling up with silt, and is covered with Cattails and other water plants. You can hear loud hooting of birds and, occasionally, see something like this dapper little Common Gallinule.
