Pulpit Rock and Cathedral Spires at Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods is a National Natural Landmark located just to the west of Colorado Springs, Colorado and sits at the southeast end of the Rampart Range. To the north of the park is the US Air Force Academy and the Cave of the Winds is to the west. From the visitor center Pikes Peak can be seen behind Kindergarten Rock. Manitou Springs and the Pikes Peak Cog Railway (currently closed but reopening 2021) are nearby. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and Will Rodgers Shrine of the Sun are to the South. Garden of the Gods can also be easily seen from the summit of Pikes Peak. This park contains many spectacular red and white limestone rock formations. Pulpit Rock, Cathedral Spires, the Tower of Babel, the Three Graces and Kindergarten Rock are a few of the many formations at the park. There are many hiking trails and a paved loop trail at its center. The park also includes a large visitor center.
