This flower is huge, every part toxic and so big that it's said they could be used for a child's hat. I posted one 2 years ago and now they're out again, in January and February, one street over.
I checked on them today, after 3 days of rain, and they didn't like the rain. All had big, ugly spots and most had fallen to the ground. Interesting.
They belong to the Nightshade, Datura family and originate in Mexico where they used to be used in religious ceremonies, often killing some participants using this hallucinogenic plant for rituals.
