The Red-Tailed Hawk and the Fox Squirrels on a Cold, Snowy Day in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan - February 1st, 2019

I worked until around 5:15 today and decided to head out for one more pass to feed the squirrels. Over by Martha Cook (Near Lorch), I saw what could only be a hawk flying towards me. So I got some good pictures of him perching down at me. Then he flew over to where the fox squirrels have a cavity nest, but the squirrel was too clever and was hiding. Well, he was hiding very poorly. You can see his tail hanging out of the nest. The hawk did not get dinner tonight. But this fox squirrel really sucks at hiding. Taken on a cold Winter's day - Friday February 1st, 2019 in Ann Arbor near Martha Cook and Lorch Hall at the University of Michigan.
