Ant Tug of War

Ant Tug of War

I was pulling up some weeds at the very edge of the garden, and it seemed to disturb some underground ants. They started coming up to the surface in numbers, and one of them grabbed another and dragged it away - different species maybe? After the duo reached the little cement barrier at the edge of the garden, a third ant joined in and started pulling the (alleged) intruder in the opposite direction!

Pentax-M 135mm F/3.5 plus Raynox MSN-202 diopter, with off-camera diffused Godox V850ii flash. Single shot. Frame is a little over 7mm wide here.
