Clay and wood are the main sculpting media here. In the background a half-dozen quilting projects are on display and at top right are framed compositions of dried flowers and features. An odd way to compare the several media for visual arts on display among the citizens of all ages and experience levels is to consider the time or expense associated with bringing an idea to its finished form for display here. Perhaps the photography section or the calligraphy can be produced relatively rapidly, after the initial idea, design, or subject comes into focus. But creating, finishing and firing a pot or carving a statue seems like it might be the most intensive and time consuming.
