Ambassador Julian Braithwaite (left), Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, presented on March 13, 2018 to WIPO Director General Francis Gurry (right) his country's instrument of ratification to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs. The Hague System facilitates the process of obtaining design protection in multiple countries.
This makes the United Kingdom the 54th member of the 1999 Act and 68th member of the Hague Union. The 1999 Act will enter into force in the United Kingdom on June 13, 2018.
