Its chapel, for example, was designed by the architect Ramos de Azevedo, responsible for the construction of the Municipal Theater building.

Cemetary art is not restricted to sculptures. In the Cemetery Chapel of Consolação, the play Para Gelar a Alma ("To Chill the Soul").

Inspired by stories by Edgar Allan Poe and a true story, the play tells the story of three female healers, Morella, Ligeia and Berenice, who were cursed and escaped death. They invite audiences to listen to stories, drink coffee, and learn rituals and sympathies. The proximity to the stage, the lighting, the songs and the soundtrack specially composed for the assembly help to compose the atmosphere of suspense of the staging.

As the maximum capacity of audience is 50 people, it is recommended to make the reservation.
