Final preparations for Central Accord 13 ensure U.S., African partners ready for success

Col. Giselle Wilz, Task Force Central commander, briefs participants in Central Accord 13 Feb. 17, 2013, at the Sawa Hotel in Douala, Cameroon, Africa. Wilz, who serves as the 141st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade commander in the North Dakota Army National Guard, is welcoming U.S. and Burundi service members as well as several civilians to the mission, a combined-joint-aerial-resupply exercise and medical resupply and evacuation exercise that brings together about 750 Cameroonian and American military personnel, as well as observers from several neighboring countries. The exercise will enhance the capability of the Cameroon Defense Force to resupply forces in remote areas and will increase interoperability between the United States and Cameroon Defense Forces. U.S. participants will return to home station once the mission is complete March 1. (U.S. Army Africa photo by Staff Sgt. Amy Wieser Willson, North Dakota Army National Guard)
