A sailor fires an M2HB 50-caliber machine gun during a live-fire exercise aboard a Mark VI patrol boat

PHILIPPINE SEA (June 6, 2019) - Engineman 2nd Class Elvis Kusi, assigned to Coastal Riverine Squadron (CRS) 2, fires an M2HB .50-caliber machine gun during a live-fire exercise aboard a Mark VI patrol boat during a routine underway. CRS-2, assigned to Coastal Riverine Group 1, Detachment Guam, is capable of conducting maritime security operations across the full spectrum of naval, joint and combined operations. Further, it provides additional capabilities of port security, embarked security and theater security cooperation around the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
