We spent the weekend at Pine Mountain Lake, a gated community near Yosemite National Park, California. On Sunday we went for a hike at the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, which is part of the Yosemite National Park. To access the hiking trails one fist passes through a tunnel after crossing the dam. Walking through the tunnel I noticed a golden shine on the walls, which made me think of the California gold rush.

The dam of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir was completed in 1923. It was built to provide drinking water 167 miles (269 km) west to the San Francisco Bay Area. To reduce the chance of contamination, swimming and boating is not allowed in the reservoir.

I processed an enhanced and a paintery HDR photo from two RAW exposures, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive feedback.
