...And Finally Decided to Stay Out Till Sundown... (Big Bend National Park)

A continuation to a famous quote by John Muir that I saw in Saguaro National Park and felt very appropriate while I took in these views of the South Rim in Big Bend National Park. This is a view to the south-southwest looking down the mountainside, across some of the peaks and then finally to the far-off mountain peaks into Mexico. What I wanted to do with this view is capture both the near and far. Nearby was part of the mountainside of the South Rim with the details in the rock, large boulders and plant vegetation. The eyes would then be lead down to these "foothills" in the main part of the image with its seemingly endless pattern of up's and downs across this setting in the Chihuahuan Desert.
