While we are so happily excited with the Eid,Having new clothes, making sweets and putting up decoration, let us just remember that when eid arrives,
Ramadan departs. And the month that we had been eagerly
waiting for, for the past year has come and gone before our
very eyes. The night which is equivelant to 1000 months
(approx. 84 years) has long gone. The devils which were
locked up during this blessed month, will soon be released.
Everything will soon change, reading Quran on a daily basis
will no longer be practiced, mosques will soon be empty,
girls who only wore the scarf in Ramadan will soon take it
off, night time will be used entirely for sleep - no more
night prayers will be performed and the language which we
had refrained from using during Ramadan will soon be in use
once again.
But while everything so quickly changes, While the blessed
month of Ramadan, its beautiful days and its fragrant
nights, the month of the Qur'an, taqwa, patience, jihad,
mercy, forgiveness and freedom from hellfire leaves... one
thing will always remain the same.....The god which we have
been so enthusiastically worshipping during Ramadan, the
god which we have built strong relationships during this
blessed month, is the same god we worship throughout the
year, he will always remain the same, he will always go
down to the first sky in the last third of every night,
waiting for our prayers and repentance.
Although the fasting of Ramadan has ended, there still
remains voluntary fasting, such as fasting six days in
Shawwal, fasting Mondays and Thursdays, fasting the 13th,
14th & 15th of each Lunar month, fasting the days of
`Aashoora and `Arafat, and many others.
While the standing in Taraweeh prayers at night during
Ramadan has ended, there still remains voluntary night
prayers throughout the year.
We have no time to waste, So let's WAKE UP, pray, read
quran, make dua'a...Let's not sit around waiting for the
next Ramadan, lets make every day and every night
a 'Ramadan' day, Because who knows? will we ever get
another chance to witness Ramadan? will we get another
chance to sincerely stand before Allah, praying to him,
asking him or thanking him? Maybe not....This could be our
Ramadan, it could very well be our last night, So let's
live it to the maxx!

Eid mubarak
I hope you all enjoy the Eid, and for the non muslims on
this board(Bernard), i hope you enjoy your break from the discussion
forum...i think we all need one:)
