After a lengthy and fruitful discussion, the Djiboutian diaspora in the United States of America elected tonight a new President for the committee USN-USA. The vote was held democratically and was very open and fair. The election started after an interesting debate and only one person announced his candidacy. Everyone was given the opportunity to run for the presidency of the committee to support the USN in Djibouti. Everyone else abstained and only one candidate remained on the ballot.
Ismael Osman Aptidon is a citizen of Djibouti who've never worked for the government of Djibouti, He is a father, a husband and currently resides in Seattle, in the state of Washington. Ismael is a very energetic, charismatic and dedicated individual who always fought against the injustices of the brutal dictatorship in Djibouti.
We want to congratulate Ismael for his victory and wish him success.
