Some Djiboutians devoutedly serve our nation, Djibouti. They are like milestones in our history to show us the way and guide us in a greedy world in which people fight for power, fame and money. They teach us lessons about commitment, self-denial and humbleness. In Short, they give more than they receive but never complain in life. They are like candles that give light to others.

General Fathi Ahmed retired after more than three decades in which he served our nation as a soldier, as an officer and as a commander-in-chief for our armed forces and as a loving father for his family.
It was a pleasure to see him honoured by President Ismail O. Guelleh and other Djiboutians last week.
He truly deserved such a wonderful ceremony.

General Fathi Ahmed Houssein will always be in our hearts.
Better future for our kids.
