Ladies!!!
Summer is in and some of us are catching up to read books/blogs/articles... that we avoided in the winter.
I have a thing to support our Somali sisters/borthers that have courage to write something even if it does not make it to a published book.
Recently, I was referred to a Blog from our lovely sister Wordswoman. She made a diary novel/record (I feel it's fiction but I could be wrong) that brought many of us on a total Rollercoaster sensation filled with a lot of emotion.
Diary of a Xalimo
Start from the beginning and do not judge yet from the beginning. It gets better with each chapter.
Enjoy it ladies!

Thanks a lot Fluid for the summer reading which is different than what I would usually contemplate....the Diary points to the final chapter; how do I get to chapter one? can you put the URL of chapter one?
thanks
PS: never mind; I found it and for those challenged sometimes in their haste like me, here is the link for the beginning: Chapter one

Interesting.. thanks Fluid!
This sister seems to understand one point: telling STORIES ( even fictional) are always fascinating for people.. I would not be surprised if her blog becomes successful.
We definitly need more creativity coming from our communities, whatever happened to expressing througt arts? c est comme ci l art est une notion inexistante ds les communautes djib, somalienne et meme musulmane en general.. oops I forgot, al-shabaab and the talibans vont ns censurer sur les arts if we dare express ourselves creatively
