Mr. Goowade, I think, it’s the bad habit that the Djiboutian expatriates brought from home country. But I think, most Djiboutian expatriates kicked out the habit and in most case they live where khat is not widely available that means the Majlis that you are talking out is very limited.

Apparently the regime in Djibouti deliberately allows the Khat to enter the main city as early as 6 am, its well known phenomenon that the Khat disturbs the productivity of government employees.

I think, Djiboutian expatriates send remittance to their homeland, and also they hold a considerable mortgages of cite Hodan and others condominium in and around the city. Others have invested in order to create jobs for their fellow country like HATTCO.

Investir a Djibouti pour se faire racketter a tout bout chant ou servir de brainstorming pour des gens sans aucune imagination qui ne pense qu'a trouver un nouveau moyen pour s'enrichir. Non merci
Par contre aider mais compatriote les plus demunis, il n'y a pas un jour qui passe sans que je ne pense a eux. Et inchallah on trouvera tot ou tard une solution.

Excellent sujet que Balou a lancé il y'a un an; très intéressant comme les gens ont rebondi sur ce sujet et que ça fait également intervenir des anciens activistes du forum.

Les inputs des Phillipins de la diaspora représentent 15% nous a dit Balou, mais sous quelles formes : créations d'entreprises? transferts directs d'argent à leurs familles? aides à des associations? La diaspora djiboutienne envoit directement de l'argent à leurs familles. De combien est ce volume d'argent transféré? Peut etre que ça représente queques % du PIB déjà. En l'abscence d'études on ne pourra juger la diaspora. Tout ce que je sais ce que les bureaux de transfert d'argent ont fleuri dans le pays; ça démontre p-e quelque chose.

J'entendais un chiffre de 900 millions de dollars transféré par la diaspora somalienne en somalie il y'a quelques années. Ce ne sont pas des créations d'entreprises mais souvent des transferts directs vers les familles et ça joue beaucoup dans la lutte contre la pauvrété. Cela dépasse peut-etre l'ensemble de l'aide accordée par les autres pays à la somalie.

Quelqu'un qui prend en charge les frais scolaires de ses petits frères ou cousins a déjà fait beaucoup pour ce pays et cela doit etre comptabilisé.

Créer une entreprise ou investir c'est une séconde étape qui viendra plus tard.
